As we all know, it can be hard to stay motivated when it comes to working out, especially in the middle of January when it’s freezing and dark. With that in mind it’s always worth looking for ways to rejuvenate your training schedule, and perhaps one of the very best ways to just that is to sign up for a massive group workout led by Anthony Joshua in the Olympic Park.
The world heavyweight champion is leading a combo boxing and HIIT session in Victory Park on the morning of Thursday 18th January to celebrate the new partnership between Lucozade Sport and Our Parks, an organisation that runs free group workout classes in London parks.
All the Our Parks workouts are done with minimal equipment, just like the session led by Anthony Joshua, so you should pick up some handy exercises you can do in your local park. Probably when it gets a bit warmer – it’s harder to leave your warm, comfortable home for an outdoor workout in January when there isn’t a sporting superstar to meet.
You can sign up for your spot for the AJ workout on the Our Parks website. Entry will be open until the number of people gets completely out of hand, which it probably will quite quickly, so don’t delay. The workout will last around 30 minutes and it’s not going to be a walk in the park – it’s a HIIT and boxing session in the park – so make sure you dress to sweat.
After the workout Joshua will be sticking around for a meet and greet so you can get a photo with the champ and marvel at the size of his hands.
As part of the partnership with Our Parks, Lucozade Sport will be running free group workouts in 30 London locations as part of its Made To Move campaign. You can see more info on where the classes will be once they’re up and running on the Our Parks website.
